Spring brings with it all things new and we are jumping on board! Today we are going to embark on something brand new here on our PAL blog…
Welcome to our first ever PAL Youth Spotlight!
We get to see the smiles and hear the stories of our youth all the time and it makes our everyday brighter and more meaningful. So we thought it would be wonderful to share a few of these faces with our supporters and readers right here! Every few weeks you will get to hear from one of our program participants, about where they are, what they love about PAL, and where they hope to go in the future.
PAL is so proud of all of our youth, from the elementary students signing up for their first soccer camp, to the high school seniors trying to figure out their way in the world. We hope you enjoy getting to know them as much as we have!
Without further ado… Meet Crystal, one of our seniors who has been involved with PAL for some big adventures including a week-long camping trip in the backcountry!
Age: 18 yrs. old
School: Hudson’s Bay High School
What do you enjoy about PAL: Something I enjoy about PAL is that they give me opportunities to do fun things that I otherwise wouldn’t be able to do because we just can’t afford it.
Plans for after High School: I want to go to college and make my parents proud. I also want to make something of myself and not just be another statistic.
How about some advice for other youth: Stay humble and push through to achieve what you want in life.
