2019 Board of Directors

2018 was a big year for PAL. Our small, yet mighty team accomplished quite a bit; but it was not without the help of a key group of individuals: our Board of Directors.

PAL’s Board of Directors is in many ways the backbone of our organization and in 2018 we said goodbye to some of our favorites. These individuals had served a number of years on the board and it was time for them to hand off the responsibility to others. Fortunately for us, all of them are sticking around to support PAL in other ways.

Board Members who left us at the end of of 2018 include:

  • Scott Wilcox: Scott served on the PAL Board for over 10 years! During his tenure he was Vice President & President. We will greatly miss him at our meetings, but he assures us he is just a phone call away.
  • Officer Julie Ballou: Like Scott, Julie serve on the PAL Board for at lest 10 years. During her time on the board she was integral in recruiting her peers to be involved; thus growing our reach and impact. She too is remaining involved; in fact she still adopts two classes through PAL Patrol.
  • Steve Getsinger: Steve served on the PAL Board for about 8 or so years and was active in supporting our Literacy Events. We wish him the best as he continues on from our board.
  • Sergeant Alex Schoening: Alex had only served on our board for about three years when he decided to step down. Fortunate for us though, he is still quite active with PAL programming and has already been recruited to support the case development for CSI Vancouver.
  • Randy St. Clair: Randy served on our board for about 6 years. He is leaving us because he got an opportunity to further his career out of state. We are sad to see him go, but know he will always support us!

As we said goodbye to five incredible board members, we get to say hello to two new folks! Joining the PAL Board in 2019 include Commander Phil Sample from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Brian Stone from PNW Loans. Both are incredibly passionate about our mission and we know we are blessed to have them join our team.
