Ringing in 2016

New year's 2

In only a mere few hours, we on the west coast will say goodbye to 2015 and say hello to 2016. It’s hard to believe that another year has come and gone.

2015 was a good year for PAL. We strengthened community relationships, we served more youth, piloted new programs, and had a successful annual luncheon. We are excited to continue the momentum built up this year and there is no doubt that 2016 will be a grand year for PAL.

Here are a few highlights for PAL in 2015:

  • One 9-week summer camp added
  • 16 literacy events at local elementary schools, giving away 1600 books
  • Strengthened relationships with Clark County Sheriff’s Office
  • One successful Annual Luncheon (thanks Beaches Restaurant)
  • 2 PAL sports tournaments
  • 28 Thanksgiving baskets given to families at Fruit Valley Elementary (thanks Chris Balmes Properties, LLC)
  • 73 winter coats given to youth at Washington Elementary School (thanks McCord’s Vancouver Toyota)
  • 5 times we were highlighted in the Columbian
  • And we served over 2,000 youth, thanks to the generosity of our law enforcement and community!

Let me say one last time that 2015 was an exciting year for PAL and that I am looking forward to 2016. 2016 will be a good year because I know we have your support: the support of the community, businesses, and most importantly our local law enforcement! Together we will be able to continue to serve the youth and families of Clark County! Cheers to 2016!
