With it snowing just last week, it seems a little crazy to be talking about summer camps, but believe it or not we’re already gearing up for registration here at the PAL office!
We offer six weeks of summer camps with a variety of themes and focus. Three of our camps are focuses on sports skills, two are geared towards science, and our teen camp, CSI Vancouver, gives youth the opportunity to learn about crime scene investigation and forensics. All of our camps (except CSI Vancouver) are offered to youth in our community for only $10 and includes a PAL shirt and lunch.
Science camps happen twice each summer. One session focuses on mad science experiments, (think exploding serums, and falling egg experiments). Our second camp is focused on S.T.E.A.M. which offers activities around science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
We offer three sport camps each summer: soccer, basketball, and football. All of our sports camps are completely run by local law enforcement coaches and have been known to feature special guests like Timber Joey!
CSI Vancouver is coming back for it’s 3rd year in a row! Join police officers and deputies to learn all about forensics while solving a mock crime scene over the week.
As with all of our best programming, PAL Camps are a collaboration with other community organizations. Here are this years contributors that are helping to make our camps happen this summer.
If you’re familiar at all with our summer camp registration process, you know it fills up faster than fast! So here is your first reminder: Registration opens May 6, 2019 and you can get all the forms and information you need at https://palofswwa.org/summer-camp-with-pal/
